Professional Biography

Xueping Yu is a partner and the head of the Real Estate & Construction Group of JunHe LLP and currently practices at JunHe Shanghai Office. She commenced her full-time legal practice in 1994 and joined JunHe in 1998.

Ms. Yu specializes in real estate, property development and construction. Her experience covers real estate investment, development, construction, project equity transaction, lease and sale, and hotel management. Through years of practice, she has gained ample experience in real estate-related transaction structuring, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, development, construction, project equity transaction, sale and lease, service and operation. She has represented numerous multinational companies (including many Fortune 500 companies) and major real estate companies and investment funds in their investment and business operations, particularly in real estate related matters.

Ms. Yu was the editor-in-chief of the Real Estate Volume of the Legal Research Index System of Shanghai Bar Association. She was awarded “Excellent Shanghai Women Lawyer” and “Honor Medal of Shanghai Bar Association”.

Ms. Yu has been selected as one of the Recognized Practitioners by Chambers & Partners for many years. She was ranked in Band 1 in the fields of Real Estate and Projects, Infrastructure & Energy by Chambers in 2009 and was ranked as Eminent Practitioners of Greater China in the field of Real Estate by Chambers in 2024. She was also recognized as an Asialaw Leading Lawyer in the field of construction by Asialaw for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015, and selected as one of the leading lawyers by Asialaw Profiles in 2016.
