Greg is an expert in real estate and real estate development work.

Hi experience includes acting on large infrastructure, energy, forestry, farm, viticulture and commercial real estate transactions, land acquisitions, and providing property and due diligence advice on many significant corporate transactions.

He has extensive experience on commercial property transactions (including complex design and build projects) and large scale residential and commercial property development (including complex canal and integrated resort developments). Greg also has experience in the acquisition and development of wind and solar farms, hotel acquisitions and developments (including resort developments in Fiji), establishment and acquisition of retirement villages and commercial leasing. Greg has a particular interest in issues related to climate change, adaptation and resilience.

Greg is also an expert on overseas investment, providing advice on property related investments by overseas persons, undertaking land investigations, and preparing applications for Overseas Investment Office approval, including obtaining New Zealand’s first standing consent for a residential land developer.

Greg has previously sat on the Board at Simpson Grierson and is currently the Practice Group Leader of the Real Estate National Practice Group.

Greg is a member of UDINZ, PINZ, NZFI, the Property Council and the Overseas Investment Office Legal Reference Group.
